Nordson ASYMTEK's Fifth-Axis Tilt Accessory with four-position rotate provides film coater applicators greater flexibility and increased access when coating printed circuit boards. Fifth-axis tilt allows the film coater nozzle to be rotated and tilted to access the hard-to-reach areas of a product. It is ideal for coating vertical surfaces and underneath components. With the fifth-axis option, the film coater nozzle can be rotated and tilted into positions (0 to 30 degrees) allowing for high programming and process flexibility. The four-position rotation (0, 90, 180, and 270 degrees) aligns with the components orientation, while the tilt enables the nozzle to orient further into vertical alignment with the parts that are being coated. The tilt capability can also enhance the application of selective conformal coating underneath components. Programmers can easily set and modify the rotate and tilt parameters for an applicator within the Easy Coat® software. Compatible with the Select Coat® conformal coating system and the SC-280N/SC-280C film coater applicators. Controlled through Nordson ASYMTEK's Easy Coat® software.
